Privacy Policy

Short version: no cookies, no ad trackers, nothing sold. Here is the long version.

Citrus Auto Report is a publication of IHC Technology Corp of Inverness, Florida. This policy describes exactly what this site collects and what happens to it. It is written to be read, not skimmed past. Effective date: August 9, 2026.

What we collect, and when

You give us information only when you choose to. The weekly email signup collects your email address. The tips and corrections form collects your message and, if you include it, your email address. That is the complete list of information you can submit here.

Separately, the site records basic first-party usage events so we can tell which guides help people and whether paid placements actually get used: the page viewed, the referring site (with any query strings removed), an optional source or dealer tag from the link you arrived on, a truncated browser user-agent string, and a timestamp. These events are not tied to your name or email, and we do not attempt to identify individual visitors from them.

What we do not do

This site sets no cookies and uses no local storage. There are no advertising pixels, no social media trackers, no fingerprinting, and no third-party analytics services. Fonts and files are served from this site, not from outside content networks. We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information with anyone, for any reason.

How information is used

Email addresses from the weekly signup are used to send the weekly email, nothing else. Every email we send includes a working unsubscribe link, honored promptly. Tips and corrections are used to fix or improve our pages; if you gave an email, we may reply. Usage events are used in aggregate to understand readership and to report results to paying partners as counts and totals only. A partner report never contains an email address or anything else about an individual reader.

Who touches the data

Two service providers process data on our behalf: Netlify, which hosts the site and receives form submissions, and Supabase, which stores the usage events described above. Both act under their own security and privacy commitments. Standard server logs kept by our host may also record IP addresses for security purposes, as nearly all websites do.

Retention and your choices

Newsletter addresses are kept until you unsubscribe. Tip submissions are kept as long as they are useful for editorial work. Usage events are kept for up to 24 months, then deleted or reduced to totals. To see, correct, or delete anything you have submitted, email aj@ihctech.us and we will handle it directly, usually within a few days.

Children

This site is written for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from them; if you believe a child has submitted information here, email us and we will delete it.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted at this address with an updated effective date. Material changes will be noted plainly at the top of the page. Questions belong at aj@ihctech.us.
